Art’s always been a big part of my life. I’ve never seen creativity as something that only lives in galleries—it should be in the places we wake up in, cook in, come home to. That’s what pulled me toward painting and home improvement in the first place.
I grew up in New Hampshire, learning hands-on from my parents and neighbors—helping out with repairs, painting walls, just figuring things out as we went. I didn’t realize it at the time, but that’s where all of this really started. Later on, I got into designing things, and eventually wanted to build them myself—that’s how woodworking came into the picture. I’m still growing into that side of the work, but it’s where I want to take things in the long run.
To me, a home is personal. It’s where you live your life, so it should look and feel like you. I care about doing work that not only lasts, but also adds something—whether it’s a fresh coat of paint that brightens a room, or a detail that makes a space feel more intentional.
The name Cottonwood Homeworks comes from the street I grew up on. That’s where I first started messing around with tools, where I painted my first wall, and probably where I stripped my first screw. It just made sense to name the business after the place where all of this got started.
If you’ve got a project—or even just a rough idea—I’d love to hear what you’re thinking. Let’s talk and see what we can make happen.
